Discover the trendy midcentury neighborhood Vista Las Palmas, once nicknamed the “Beverly Hills of Palm Springs” and view the homes now called “Alexanders” developed by George and Robert Alexander.

Celebrities like Debbie Reynolds, Elvis Presley, Kim Novak, Dean Martin and the Rat Packers lived and frolicked here in the 50s and 60s. Experience the architectural genius of Palmer and Krisel in a collection of stunning homes that were mass-produced but appear to be custom designed. See the Kaufmann house, designed by Richard Neutra, a true masterpiece of midcentury Modern architecture.

Meet the artists

Shag artwork

Attendees will receive a Shag exhibit poster and meet the artist Josh Agle, known as Shag, plus members of the Lopez family. The directors for the film, "My name is Lopez" P. David Ebersole and Todd Hughes, and producers Joan and Gary Gand will be in attendance.

The Collection

The exhibit was created by Gary Gand with memorabilia from his personal collection, costumes loaned by the Lopez family, plus rare record albums and singles from the Ebersole-Hughes collection and original artwork by Shag.

If I Had A Hammer

Listen to Trini's 1963 cover of "If I Had A Hammer" originally written by Pete Seeger and Lee Hays. With Trini's spin it took off selling over one million copies and awarded a gold disc.
