Know Before You Go

  • No bathroom facilities on tours. We are in neighborhoods with no facilities so important to be prepared for the 2-3 hr journey with no toilets. Go before you go.
  • Wear comfortable shoes.
  • Sun protection and sunglasses advised.
  • Please respect the property and privacy of current residents. Be mindful people live in these homes so please stay off the properties! We are required to stay on the streets.

All locations have free street parking plus other designated options. Please lock your vehicle and don't leave valuables in sight.

Bring water and stay hydrated. The intensity of the desert sun and heat can affect endurance.

We still walk in light rain. We supply umbrellas for everyone. You will be notified prior if extreme conditions require a cancellation and refund.

No pets allowed. Sorry, we love them too but only licensed service animals are allowed. California law does not include emotional support animals.

Please bring your confirmation email in digital or print form as proof of purchase.

You will be outfitted with a 7-speed bike, helmet, water, and audio receiver with ear piece so you can hear your guide. Devices are disinfected between use.

Bikes are designed for guests 4'8" - 6'2" If you are taller than 6'2" or shorter than 4'8" please let us know prior so we can accommodate you comfortably.

Change your mind? We understand plans change, emergencies happen. Please keep in mind we are a non-profit organization and tickets are non-refundable. 

Walking Tours: Depart at 9:30 am

Biking Tours: Depart at 8:30 am
Please arrive 15 minutes early (8:15am) to be fitted for your gear and sign waiver. Tours leave at 8:30 am sharp.

How long do tours last? Tour times range from 2 to 3 hours.

Distance of tours? 
Walking tours range from 3/4 of a mile to 2 miles. 
Biking tours range from 8.5 to 9 miles.

Level of difficulty? 
Walking tours are mostly flat terrain. Hidden Paradise has a few inclines.

Bike Like a Star level is moderate with 3 hills which may require extra pedaling.
Bike the Mid Mod Oasis is pleasant with flat terrain.

Mobility concerns? Accessibility? We don't recommend the tour to those with any trouble walking. Walkers and strollers are also not advised because some areas do not have sidewalks. We don't want you to miss out so consider arranging a private tour in a vehicle. Give us a call to discuss so we can accommodate you. Can I take photos or record?
Photos are okay in most outside areas on most tours, but please check with your tour guide prior. It is very important to respect the privacy of current residents, and to avoid copyright infringements. Stay off the properties!

NO video and NO audio recording devices allowed.

No phone use during tours. Please refrain from talking on phone while with tour group. If emergency please step aside so not to disrupt tour or disturb others.
