1. How long do bike tours last?
    Tour times are approximately 3 hours.

  2. Bathrooms available on the tour?
    No.

  3. Distance of tours?
    Tours range from 6+ miles.

  4. Do I need to make reservations?
    Yes, reservations are required. Bring your receipt.

  5. Cancellation policy?
    Tours can be cancelled for safety reasons because of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule you for another tour if possible. Please contact our office to reschedule your tour at 760.844.2242.

    All sales are final.

  6. What if it rains?
    You will be notified if conditions require a cancellation rebooking and/or refunds.

  7. What to wear and bring?
    Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and bring water. One water bottle will be provided.

  8. Can I take photos on the tour?
    Okay in most outside areas on most tours, but please check with your tour guide prior. It is very important to respect the privacy of current residents of houses and buildings on the tours.

  9. Video or recording devices on the tour? 
    No. Video or recording devices are NOT permitted.

  10. What are the tours like?
    Fun and informative with an emphasis on the historical significance.

  11. Are tours strenuous?
    The terrain is fairly flat in most areas, two small hills are located mid-tour, each hill is about half a city block long.

  12. Mobility concerns?
    We don't recommend the tour to those with any trouble walking or biking. Walkers and strollers are also not advised because all guests must be on bike provided. Consider arranging a private tour in a vehicle, give us a call to discuss.

  13. Age appropriate?
    Adults. Kids are allowed at your discretion, please be mindful of the other participants, as the tour travels at a speed most adults bike.

  14. Pets allowed?
    No pets allowed.

  15. How do I arrange a private bike tour?
    Contact the Palm Springs Historical Society at 760.844.2242. We would be glad to accommodate your party for a private tour.

  16. Who runs the tours, are they official?
    Yes, The Palm Springs Historical Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1955. We are the original walking tour for the city of Palm Springs. The bikes are provided by Bike Palm Springs under contract to the Palm Springs Historical Society.

  17. Free Parking?
    Yes, parking details will be supplied for each tour at time of purchase. Free street parking or free parking garage at the corner of Baristo and Indian Canyon. Please be advised to lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables in sight.
