  1. How long do tours last?
    Tour times range from 2 to 3 hours.

  2. Bathrooms available on the tour?
    No.

  3. Distance of tours?
    Tours range from 3/4 of a mile to 2 miles for walking tours.
    Biking tours range from 8.5 to 9 miles.

  4. Do I need to make reservations?
    Yes, reservations are required. Bring your tickets.

  5. Payment Procedure?

  6. Cancellations/Refund policy?
    All sales are final.

  7. What if it rains?
    We do supply umbrellas for light rain. You will be notified if conditions require a cancellation and refunds.

  8. What to wear and bring?
    Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and bring water.

  9. Can I take photos on the tour?
    Okay in most outside areas on most tours, but please check with your tour guide prior. It is very important to respect the privacy of current residents houses and buildings on the tours.

  10. Video or recording devices on the tour? 
    No. Video or recording devices are NOT permitted.

  11. What are the tours like?
    Fun and informative with an emphasis on the historical significance.

  12. Are tours strenuous?
    The terrain is fairly flat in most areas.

  13. Mobility concerns?
    We don't recommend the tour to those with any trouble walking. Walkers and strollers are also not advised because some areas do not have sidewalks. Consider arranging a private tour in a vehicle, give us a call to discuss.

  14. Age appropriate?
    Adults. Kids are allowed at your discretion, please be mindful of the other participants.

  15. Pets allowed?
    No pets except for licensed service animals.

  16. How do I arrange a private tour?
    Contact the Palm Springs Historical Society at 760.884.2242. We would be glad to accommodate your party for a private tour.

  17. Who runs the tours, are they official?
    Yes, The Palm Springs Historical Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1955. We are the original walking tour for the city of Palm Springs.

  18. Free Parking?
    Yes, parking details will be supplied for each tour at time of purchase.

  19. Bus route to tour locations? 
    Yes. Visit the Sunline Transit Agency website for public bus transit schedules and details.
