Storytelling with the Sun

Saturday, Dec 14, 2019

5:30 pm - Light Appetizers
6:00 - 7:30 pm - Storytelling

A special invitation to Historical Society members for a special evening of Storytelling at the Desert Sun this Saturday, Dec 14th. If you have never been to one of their Storytellers events, which feature real live humans on stage telling funny, moving and inspirational true tales, let me assure you it is a special evening!

Join us at The Desert Sun's community space for appetizers, listen to inspiring stories of giving, and browse the festive Giving Fair.

The fair will help you connect with nonprofit organizations from across the Coachella Valley who have inspiring ideas for gift-giving this holiday season.

Check your emails or call the Museum to get the Palm Springs Historical Society Member code for free tickets.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing for prizes, including tickets to some of the hottest 2020 events in the Coachella Valley.

Storytellers Giving

The theme for our upcoming show is Giving.

"As the local newspaper, The Desert Sun plays a critical role in shining a spotlight on problems, challenges and thorny issues in our communities. Yet we also have an opportunity and, I would argue, an obligation to highlight so many of the positive stories in our midst."
- Executive Editor, Desert Sun Julie Makinen

Winston Gieseke

Desert Sun Philanthropy and Special Sections Editor, will be emceeing the event. Winston has worked with other publications, Palm Springs Life and The Advocate.
